Arizona's Treasury Swimming in Cash

(KFYI News) Preliminary numbers from the Joint Legislative Budget Committee show Arizona ended the fiscal year June 30th with $200 million more than the state budget anticipated.

And that doesn't even include the state's "rainy day fund" which has $450 million. It looks like the state will end up with $9.5 billion dollars in revenue, versus $8.6 billion in spending.

The biggest jump in revenue was in individual income taxes, which were up 16 percent from the previous year.
