Home prices are continuing to rise across the nation.
Residential property information provider CoreLogic says values were up 12.4 percent, year-over-year, in July. That's the 17th consecutive month of annual gains for home values nationally.
Prices also jumped 1.8 percent from June to July. The top five states with the highest home price appreciation in July were Nevada, California, Arizona, Wyoming and Oregon.
CoreLogic's chief economist Mark Fleming says for the rest of the year, price growth is expected to slow a bit as seasonal demand wanes and higher mortgage rates impact the market.
